Welcome to first in my no-bullshit series of how to publish and market your book. Since my book became a bestseller, a lot of folks have asked me the scoop on how to get their books published. There’s an entire (largely unethical) industry built around taking the money of unsuspecting authors. Folks promise authors that if they spend endless cash on their magical course, or read their magical book, they will absolutely, 100% get published. This, my dear fellow writers, is a lie. It is a lie, and a mean one at that, which leads to broken dreams and empty bank accounts. If someone promises you they will get you published, and then asks you to write a check, walk away, and don’t look back.

In this series, I will promise you two things.

1. What you are about to read is the truth.

2. The chances you will get published will increase substantially.

I will also promise you this.

You might not like what you read. Getting a book published is very, very hard. It takes a ton of work. Unless you’re famous, or the kid of a famous person, or were abducted by aliens and ten people witnessed said abduction and got awesome footage on their phones which they then sent to you and you sent it to…
